This one light set up used a forty-eight inch, home made soft box, located just to camera right, only about ten degrees of axis to the right of the camera. The soft-box was positioned immediately above the model's head level as a simulation of existing bedroom light. Any additional light would have damaged the mood of the image. |
The 35mm camera with an 85mm lens was placed low to help in giving the model the look of being in charge. This glamour-ish image isn't pure glamour, but borders on the erotic. While there is no nudity involved, the suggestion of emanate nudity is certainly there. Rather than being a single glamour photo, this type of image can imply a story. What (who) is the model looking at? Is she just getting our of bed, or is she about to get into bed? Is he thinking of a good night's sleep. or is she about to join someone in bed? This is the type of image which can generate significant sales.
