The CD version of An Introduction to the Art of Photography is in the universal, cross platform pdf format and is uncompressed for somewhat higher resolution than the downloadable version. The pdf format does however require that Acrobat Reader to open the file. If you do not already have Acrobat on your CPU, a copy of this freely distributable software can be downloaded from the Adobe site, at no cost, at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
The 35 meg CD copy of An Introduction to the Art of Photography is $21.95.
